Italian Language Learning

Italian at St Pauls allows students to explore both the language and the rich culture of Italy. Through engaging and interactive lessons, students develop an appreciation for global perspectives and cultural understanding.

All students from Foundation to Year 6 participate in a 1-hour Italian lesson each week. The program focuses strongly on oral interaction, helping students build confidence in speaking and understanding the language through songs, role-plays, games, and everyday conversational phrases.

Lessons are designed to be fun and meaningful, encouraging students to expand their vocabulary and use Italian in practical, age-appropriate ways. Activities are hands-on, creative, and tailored to support memory retention and enthusiasm for language learning.

Visual Art Curriculum Overview
In Visual Art, students will have the chance to explore a wide range of materials and tools to help them grow as young artists. Through fun, hands-on activities, they’ll be encouraged to try new things, build confidence, strengthen their fine motor skills, and express their own creative ideas.
Throughout the year, students will also learn about how artists from around the world use their art to share feelings, stories, and culture. They’ll start to think about the choices they make in their own artwork and learn simple art terms to help them talk about and explain what they’ve created.
Our Visual Art program aims to build each student’s independence, creativity, and understanding of how art connects people and plays a role in different cultures, beliefs, and everyday life.
